Current Research

(1) Pressure-response on hydrous minerals, ices, hydrates, etc. from in-situ observations of vibrational spectra, X-ray diffraction and neutron diffraction.
(2) Hydrogen in metal at high pressure and high temperature (Light elements in the Earth's core and planetary core).
(3) Oligomerization of amino acids at high pressure under prebiotic conditions.
(4) Introduction of incompatible ions into biominerals.
(5) Mantle minerals in natural diamonds.
