Earth Dynamics

Current Research

Earth is unique among the solar terrestrial planets, which is characterized by presence of the surface water, continent, life, as well as active geological processes including earthquake, magmatism, plate motion-continental drift, geomagnetism, etc. Structure and dynamics of the Earth’s system, particularly material and energy cycling between the surface environment and the deep interior, are investigated using various approaches of field work, geochemical analysis, big data analysis, and numerical simulation.
