Current Research

My main research areas are 1) elucidating the mechanism behind the occurrence of natural hazards, including storm and tsunamis and 2) reconstructing paleoclimate and paleoenvironments. To achieve these goals, I use multiple approaches, including field surveys, numerical simulation, laboratory analysis, and radiocarbon dating.
