Research Field

Cosmic and planetary material evolution

Current Research

We aim to unravel the mysteries of the early solar system formation and planet formation through the analysis of meteorites and their constituent materials. We investigate the stellar environment surrounding the early solar system and the material evolution within the protoplanetary disk using isotopic analysis and mineralogical observation. Furthermore, we seek to identify the origin of Earth's building blocks and re-evaluate Earth's early evolution from the perspective of solar system material evolution. Additionally, we are advancing the development of analytical instruments and methods for future sample return missions, as well as basic scientific research for extraterrestrial resource exploration.
