研究分野

地形学・自然環境論

研究内容

地殻の隆起・沈降運動と地球表層物質の侵食・運搬・堆積との相互作用に関心がある。過去百万年間における海水準、河床、地殻の変動の復元をフィールドワークとコア解析に基づき進めつつある。また、地震、地すべり、河川洪水などのイベントの復元を自然災害防止の観点から試みている。
