惑星天文学・系外惑星学・惑星形成論

研究内容

太陽系外に、すでに数千もの惑星が発見されている。しかし、それらの中に、我々の太陽系と特徴の同じものは一つもない。銀河系において、惑星および惑星系はどれくらい多様なのだろうか。我々の住む地球はありふれた惑星か、それとも特殊な惑星なのか。理論モデリングおよび観測を通じて、そうした惑星と惑星系の起源や構造、多様性を解明することを目指している。
